FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Just to be Clean
What types of cleaning do you offer?
I offer regular cleaning, one-off cleans, deep cleaning for regular clients, Cleaning for Holiday Cottages and Airbnb rentals, also help with tasks like wardrobe organising and ironing.
Why don’t you have before-and-after photos?
Inviting someone into your home requires trust. Cleaning is a very personal and confidential service. Protecting my clients’ privacy is important to me, which is why I don’t share images or details of their homes.
Does the service include washing dishes?
Washing dishes and utensils isn’t part of the standard service.
If you would like me to do it, please ask.
Can I request extra tasks?
Yes.
Additional tasks such as ironing, cupboard organising, change bed linen, fill dishwasher of washing dishes can be added on request.
If you need anything, just ask. I will either help you myself or recommend someone who can.
Do you work alone?
I normally work independently.
If an extra pair of hands is ever needed, I’ll ask for your approval first and take full responsibility for both the colleague and the quality of the clean.
Why do you work alone?
Working independently allows me to maintain consistent quality, trust, and a personal approach with every client.
Are you DBS checked?
Yes, DBS and references are available upon request.
Do you offer deep cleaning for new clients?
Deep cleaning is typically offered to regular clients, where it usually involves some additional time. For new clients, deep cleans can take considerably longer and the time required can be hard to predict.
If you’re unsure what level of cleaning you need, feel free to get in touch and we can discuss it.
Do you use your own cleaning products?
Yes — I bring my own cleaning products and fresh cloths. If you prefer using your own products, I’m very happy to use those instead.
Do you offer eco-friendly cleaning?
Yes. You can choose between general cleaning products or eco-friendly options — whichever suits you best.
Is cleaning a confidential service?
Absolutely. Cleaning is a personal service, and I treat every home with care, respect, and discretion.
Why do you use my hoover and mop?
To keep your home completely separate from others, I use your own hoover and mop. This helps avoid any transfer of dust, pet hair, or smells from other homes and is the most hygienic approach.
Do you clean on weekends or late afternoons?
Yes. If you’re looking for late afternoon or weekend cleaning, please get in touch and I’ll see if I can help.
Is there a mileage fee?
There’s no mileage fee for full house cleaning within the area shown on the map (‘About us’ page) and smaller services within Aylesbury and outskirts.
For smaller services further away or full house cleaning out of the green line, please call and we can discuss options.
How do I book or ask a question?
You can book a clean or ask any questions by email, text, or phone — I’m always happy to help.
How often can I book cleaning?
Regular cleaning is available weekly or fortnightly.
One-off and occasional cleans can also be arranged.
Feel free to call or message me and we’ll find a suitable slot.
What areas do you cover?
Most of my clients are based in Aylesbury and nearby areas.
If you live a little further out, feel free to get in touch and we can see what might work.
More details on About page.
If you have further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Do you clean inside ovens?
No. Internal oven cleaning requires very harsh chemicals, which I choose not to use. There are specialist businesses whose service is focused on cleaning ovens internally.
Can I provide feedback or requests over time?
Absolutely. Open communication helps build long-term relationships, and I always welcome feedback. My aim is to clean your home just the way you like it.
What makes your service different?
I focus on quality, care, and long-term trust.
Simply finishing a job isn’t enough for me — I want every home to feel truly looked after.

Cancellation Policy
I understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please let me know as soon as possible.
– Cancellations with at least 48 hours’ notice can be rearranged without any charge.
– Cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice is subject to a cancellation fee, as it’s often difficult to re-book the time at short notice.
If an emergency arises, please get in touch – I always try to be reasonable and understanding.
Clear communication helps keep things fair and works best for both of us.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
If a booking is cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee applies.
– For bookings of up to 3 hours, the fee will be either the cost of the booked work or 1.5 hours fee – whichever is lower.
– For bookings longer than 3 hours, the cancellation fee will be agreed individually at the time of booking, based on the time reserved.
This helps cover time set aside for you, which is often difficult to re-book at short notice.
If cancellation fees remain unpaid on two occasions, I won’t be able to accept further bookings. This helps keep things fair and allows me to continue offering a reliable service to all clients.
If something unexpected comes up, please get in touch – clear communication is always appreciated.
